nasya, rebel yoga instructor

NASYA // SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

Hi! I'm Nasya — a dedicated yoga teacher, clinical herbalist + creative Earth lover, harmonizing with the elements to restore the connection between plants + people.

With over 500 hours of yoga training focused on Ashtanga, Vinyasa + Therapeutic practices, I still consider myself a lifelong student. Teaching for over nine years and practicing for over ten, my approach to yoga leans into finding the sweet spot between old + new — keeping the integrity of ancient yoga traditions through a creative, modern lens. Encouraging my students to play with shapes as a means of self discovery, we explore how to FEEL through collective intention, breath + music. My experience allows me to hone in on individual needs, providing modifications when necessary and adjusting classes based on the energetic atmosphere.

My goal is to empower — to get us back to our roots, with movement, community + plant magic. We are beings of the Earth. It is our right to embody the elements, to notice patterns within ourselves as they are in nature + to rekindle our relationship with oneness, feeling safe + strong from the inside out.

mariah, rebel yoga instructor

MARIAH // REBEL INSTRUCTOR

Mariah has been a student of yoga for over twenty years. Without being conscious of it, the philosophy of yoga made its way into her life. Embracing challenges as lessons and using her breath to guide her. She met Tasia as a student ten years ago. During 2019 she felt called to take a 200 hour training, the only intention being a way to deepen her practice. Upon completing her 200 hr she started teaching. It was during this time that Tasia graciously offered to mentor her. Since her graduation she has completed trainings in meditation, children’s and prenatal yoga.

jILLIAN // REBEL INSTRUCTOR

Jillian comes to Rebel with over 14 years of teaching experience around Westchester. Originally trained in traditional hot yoga, she sought out trainings with physical therapists, chiropractors and yogis to help manage her own injuries. She unknowingly started to curate a yoga class that was as challenging as it was anatomically informed which resulted into a fusion of different movement modalities strung together by creative flows, all powered by a fun playlist. Her passion, playful nature and love of music are all weaved into every class and she truly hopes to empower everyone to practice regardless of injuries,

KAILEY // REBEL INSTRUCTOR

Inspired to learn more about the philosophical roots of yoga, I traveled to India to spend two weeks meditating in the foothills of the Himalayas and completed my meditation teacher training soon after. dANIELLE // REBEL INSTRUCTOR

My love of yoga started over 20 years ago when I took my first class. Over 5 years ago, I became certified because of my experience at Rebel. Yoga has been so healing for my mind, body and soul, I hope to bring the same energy to class by intertwining the spiritual and mental depth of yoga with movement. I trained with IFBB pros and prepared for completions as a young adult so I like to push myself. My classes are meant to do the same for those who come. I feel the more you’re focused on moving, the more you allow your mind to lose focus and be present. I’ve taken my education as a personal trainer to deepen my understanding of anatomy and our body. Yoga is something I’d love for people to do long term so keeping our bodies safe is important to me so we can continue moving for life. Hopefully everyone always feels the love and the good vibes as a community. Outside of Rebel, I work in real estate and for a property management/hedge fund.
